Organization Departments


The Organization Departments feature in Edulegit allows you to structure and manage different departments within your educational institution. Here’s a detailed guide on creating, editing, and managing departments.

Creating a Department

1. Navigate to Departments: Go to the “Departments” section on your dashboard.

2. Create New Department:

  • Click the “Create department” button.
  • Enter the title of the department.
  • Select the head of the department from the dropdown list.
  • Choose a parent department if applicable.
  • Describe the department.
  • Click “Save” to create the department.

Editing a Department

1. Select the Department: In the “Departments” section, click on the department you want to edit.

2. Edit Details:

  • Click on the “Edit” button.
  • Update the department title, head, parent department, or description as needed.
  • Save the changes by clicking the “Save” button.

Managing Department Members

1. Assign New Users:

  • Go to the specific department.
  • In the “Members” section, use the dropdown to select users to assign to the department.
  • Click “Save” to confirm the new members.

2. Invite Links:

  • Copy the link provided in the department’s details section to generate invite links for new members to join the department.

Organizing Departments

1. Create Sub-departments:

  • Within an existing department, click the “Create department” button.
  • Follow the steps for creating a new department, ensuring you select the appropriate parent department.

2. Department Hierarchy:

  • Arrange departments and sub-departments to reflect the organizational structure of your institution.
  • Use the drag-and-drop feature to reorder departments as needed.

Monitoring Department Activity

1. Department Overview:

  • View the overall activity and updates within each department.
  • Monitor tasks, documents, and user participation through the department dashboard.

2. Reports and Analytics:

  • Generate reports on department performance, user activity, and document submissions.
  • Use the analytics to make data-driven decisions for department improvements.
