Educators are adapting. In Minnesota, schools have begun to integrate AI carefully — using it for rewriting tests, simplifying texts, or generating rubrics — though they still worry about fairness and privacy.

Meanwhile, at Lincoln University (New Zealand), faculty asked students to resubmit defended work in person after suspected AI misuse — a controversial but clear message that assessment methods must evolve.

Schools in Australia face similar pressure. Researchers argue that AI misuse devalues degrees, prompting proposals like AI‑free assessment zones, secure testing conditions, and better staff training.

Key Principles for Responsible AI Integration
